The world’s largest wooden sailing ship

Götheborg is the world’s largest sailing wooden ship and a copy of the ship that in 1745, on its way home from China sank just outside the entrance to the harbour in Gothenburg. Today she is sailing again, and besides the historic voyage to China and back again in 2005-2007 the ship has made ​​a handful of other expeditions. She has visited over thirty cities around Europe and the summer of 2010 she participated in the celebration of the Swedish Corwn Princess Victoria’s wedding. On 27 June to 21 August you can visit the Ostindiefararen at Stenpiren in Gothenburg. The ship is open for boarding all days between 11:00 to 18:00 and the restaurant area on the pier is open from 11.00 until late evening.
