The largest science center in Scandinavia is named Universeum and it is located in Gothenburg. In the seven-storey large house you will find everything from rainforest trails and tricky puzzles to solar systems and brainwaves. On the same day you can experience a gigantic storm on the mountain, tropical heat in the jungle and the huge distances in space. Our house is full of exciting adventures for the curious!
In our aquaria eight different species of sharks are swimming. Our largest shark Herman is more than 2,5 meters long. In the rainforest there are monkeys and poison dart frogs living and birds are flying free while a bit more dangerous animals like caimans, anacondas and the world’s most dangerous terrestrial snake rests securely behind glass panels. Anyone who wants to test what the muscles and brain cells can ride on our mechanical horse, challenge someone at a dance duel, or test their responsiveness. And if you think it would be interesting to find fingerprints, find out if you are a good witness or fuss your way through a room guarded by laser beams, you should visit Universeum´s new exhibition: Krimlab. There you will discover modern forensics and solve mind-bending mysteries.
