What is Partille Cup?
Every summer Gothenburg city gets filled with young enthusiastic players and visitors from around the world, with their mind set on participate in Partille Cup – the world’s largest handball tournament since 1970. Since 2005, the tournament is played outdoors on 50-60 plans and is one of Sweden’s largest annual recurring events, with 17 000 young people participating. Most games are played at Heden were you also can find a built up center for actives, visitor and tourists.
Every day, Heden is visited by 30 000 peoples.
The event has grown the recent years. It is not just sport fans who are attracted to go to Heden to take part in the festivities but also tourist and residents in Gothenburg.
The awareness of Partille Cup has grown and more peoples have understand that Partille Cup is so much more than just handball. With a full OS-like opening ceremony in Scandinavium, gigantic discos at Svenska Mässan and Liseberg as a given amusement park, these factors transform’s Partille Cup each summer to one enormous festivity.
