Tournament Info


Competition form

The following teams can participate in
Partille Cup:
• Club teams
• School teams outside the Nordic Countries
• National Teams and Regional Teams outside the Nordic Countries, however not teams in Europe from IHF´s A and B nations.

 

The tournament begins with a qualification round. Teams are divided into groups of 6-8 teams, where all teams play against each other. The three best teams in a group of 6-7 teams and the four best teams in larger groups advance to the A-final round, the remaining teams in the group are playing the B-final round. The group play is played Tuesday to Thursday. The Final Round takes place on Friday and Saturday and are played according to a cup model, win or lose.

 

Regulations

IHF’s rules apply in all relevant areas and SHF’s competition rules. For questions regarding the interpretation of the IHF’s rules, the English text is valid. For detailed regulations, see Competition Rules. All players must be insured, both on and off the court.

 

Match Times

All categories play 2 x 15 minutes. In the Final Round B21, G21, B18 and G18 play 2 x 20 minutes.

 

Classes

The following age classes play in Partille Cup 2012 (B = boys, G = girls) Register in the age class that is valid for your team the summer 2012:
Class B21 Boys born 1/1 1991 and later.
Class B18 Boys born 1/1 1994 and later.
Class B16 Boys born 1/1 1996 and later.
Class B15 Boys born 1/1 1997 and later.
Class B14 Boys born 1/1 1998 and later.
Class B13 Boys born 1/1 1999 and later.
Class B12 Boys born 1/1 2000 and later.
Class B11 Boys born 1/1 2001 and later.
Class B10 Boys born 1/1 2002 and later.
Class G21 Girls born 1/1 1991 and later.
Class G18 Girls born 1/1 1994 and later.
Class G16 Girls born 1/1 1996 and later.
Class G15 Girls born 1/1 1997 and later.
Class G14 Girls born 1/1 1998 and later.
Class G13 Girls born 1/1 1999 and later.
Class G12 Girls born 1/1 2000 and later.
Class G11 Girls born 1/1 2001 and later.
Class G10 Girls born 1/1 2002 and later.

 

Participants per team/age control

There is no limit on the number of players
in the team. A team can use a maximum
of 17 players per match. It is allowed to use a player from the same club in more than one team in the tournament, but NOT in the same age class. All players must have approved IDs in case of an age control.

 

Exemptions

No exemptions for over-aged players are given. Girls are allowed to participate in the boys teams in class B10-B12. No other exemptions granted.

 

Number of teams in the tournament

A Maximum of 1150 teams can participate in the tournament. (Cat. A = 800 teams, cat. B = 85 teams,
cat. C = 40 teams, cat. D = 225 teams) If this limit is reached before April 1, the teams first registered are allowed to participate, which means that the teams which registered and paid the team fee are allowed to participate. The registration period is counted from the day we receive your team fee. Remember that certain categories are usually fully booked a long time before the official registration deadline.

Participation Categories

Category A – accommodation at a school:
Accommodation in a class room, sport hall or similar. Bring your own mattress and sleeping bag. Meals begin with dinner on arrival day July 2 and ends with lunch July 7. A total of 15 meals are served. 1 – 4 leaders per team can stay at the school. All persons accommodated at the school have to pay the participation fee. The participation fee also includes All Inclusive Card. Maximum 800 teams.

Category B – accommodation at a
hotel booked via Partille Cup:

Accommodation at a hotel including
breakfast and Value Card (if you book five nights or more). Can be upgraded to All Inclusive Card. Maximum 85 teams.
Category C – own accommodation:
For teams outside Gothenburg Handball
Association with their own accommodation.
A Value Card is included in the participation fee. The category is usually fully booked in February. The date when we receive your team fee will determine if your team is participating or not. Maximum 40 teams.

Category D – local teams:
Teams that are included in the Gothenburg Handball Association. Are only paying the registration fee. The category is limited to 225 teams.

Options

Transfer
Transfer to and from airport, ferry or train station in Gothenburg, to accommodation. Offered at a cost of €12 per person. Only for teams with accommodation through Partille Cup arriving and departing as a group.

Extra night
For teams with transportation problems, we can arrange accommodation at the school one day earlier or one day after the tournament. Max two nights. The cost is € 15 per person and night. Food is not included. We do not guarantee that you get to stay at the same school throughout the period.

Bed and beddings
A bed with mattress, pillow, sheets and blanket can be rented during the week, €42 per person.

Buses
We are arranging buses from Oslo and Stockholm to and from Gothenburg. The buses are booked in connection with participant registration and apply only to teams in categories A and B.

Leaders Card

Each team with accommodation (school or hotel) booked through Partille Cup will receive two Leaders Cards which gives the holder free entrance to the Leaders Party and the Leaders Sports Bar. Additional Leaders Cards can be purchased at a cost of €30. All options can be booked via ”My Team Info”.

 

Visa

To be allowed to travel to Sweden and
participate in Partille cup, you might
need a visa. Please, be aware that the visa process often takes about 6 – 8 weeks to finish, after you have done your
application at the embassy. Contact

All Inclusive Card/Value Card

 

All Inclusive Card is included in category A and gives you the following offers:
•15 meals
•Free entrance to the Opening Ceremony in Scandinavium
•Free entrance to Liseberg – Northern Europe’s largest amousement park
•Free travels with Göteborgs local trafic
•Free entrance to the Finals
•Free entrance to all EOC matches and finals.
•Various other activities and offers

 

Value Card
Is included in category B and C and contains the same benefits as an All Inclusive Card but without meals. For those of you who live in hotels (category B) you can upgrade your Value Card to All Inclusive Card. Price: Euro 60 (10 meals).

Insurances, responsability

All participants must have insurance,
both on and off the playing field. Partille
Cup has no group insurances, or take
responsibility for, participants in case of
illness, injury, theft or damage to property.

 

Registration and payment

Register before April 1.  The time for your registration, begin from the date we receive your team fee. The participation fee must be paid no
later than May 1, 2012. Otherwise we
cannot guarantee your participation. For information about the hotel reservations see your booking confirmation or My Team Info. To be certain to get a place – please register and pay your team fee as soon as
possible.

When we have received your registration
fee we will confirm your registration.
Possible repayment of participation fees for
individual players will only be made if you cancel before June 10, 2012.
After June 10, 2012 will parts of the payment only be repaid if a valid medical certificate is shown. The team fee is not refundable.

 

Important dates

April 1: Last day for registration and
payment of registration fee. (Which will
only be repaid if there is no place left in the tournament).
May 1: Last date for payment of the
participation fee for those staying at a school, hotel or own accomodation. Both leaders and players pay this fee. You can only add few players after this date. You are allowed to cancel players until June 10, after that a medical certificate is required.
June 10: Deadline for options and payment of additional orders as transfers, beds, extra nights, buses, extra Value Card and special food.
June 15: The playing program is
announced at www.partillecup.com.
July 2:
Arrival day to Gothenburg and
Partille Cup, no matches are played.
July 3: The qualification round starts,
Opening Ceremony in the evening.
July 4: Qualification round, Players Club in the evening.
July 5: Qualification round, Leaders Party and Players Club in the evening.
July 6: Final round. Players Club in the
evening.
July 7: Final day. Last final is finished
at 18:00 – departure.
