This weekend Partille Cup have travelled to Antalya, Turkey to attend to the International Handball Federations ordinary congress XXXVI. We are seeing up an exhibition on site. Every second year the whole handball family meets for a global forum and this year it is election year with some new chairs to fill and to set course for the organisation in several important matters. This means that the world of handball is gathered in one place during a weekend. All the participating federations are staying under the same roof and this gives valuable meeting possibilities and opportunities to get to learn each other even better.
Partille Cup is hosting an exhibition where the main purpose is to get to know our participating nations better but also to build bridges to those countries that never have had the opportunity of visiting us in Gothenburg. The tournament is presented as a brand and the film from the tournament is constantly playing from a TV-screen in the background.
We feel that we share the same ambition as the IHF. That is gathering the world of handball to empower the growth of the sport as well as building bridges to new countries to erase differences and grew tighter bonds. To summarize our impressions so far at the conference, it could be expressed as the handball family is growing larger and the differences are diminishing.
We would like to welcome the world of handball to Gothenburg this summer!
Meet you all there!
