Premiere for Partille World Cup Cairo

The world’s largest youth handball tournament is expanding beyond Gothenburg. Today marks the start of the first edition of Partille World Cup Cairo. – This is a historic step for the Partille World Cup – and for youth handball as a whole, says Fredrik Andersson, Secretary General of the Partille World Cup.

1,770 boys and girls, a total of 164 teams, compete across the different age categories. The event is organized by ITZ-Sports, which has extensive experience in arranging major sports and fitness events in Egypt.
– We are fully committed to delivering an unforgettable experience for players, coaches, parents, and the entire handball community. Bringing the Partille Cup to Cairo and the Africa/Middle East region is a major step forward for our sport, says Adam Elzoghby, Managing Partner at ITZ-Sports. It gives thousands of young players in this part of the world the chance to experience the magic of the Partille World Cup – something that has inspired generations.

A global concept with its heart in Gothenburg
Partille World Cup Cairo will be the first tournament in what is called the Partille World Cup Tour, a growing network of sister tournaments planned in different parts of the world in the coming years.
The concept is based on a franchise model in which local organizers run the events, while Partille World Cup provides the brand, concept, expertise, and digital support, with full quality control and a shared set of values.
– We are growing, but we keep our heart in Gothenburg, says Fredrik Andersson. This is not just an expansion. It is a way of extending our promise: to create memories, meaningful connections, and lifelong opportunities, no matter where in the world you live.
