Participation categories

Category A – School accommodation:


Everyone staying at the school, players, and leaders, has to pay the accommodation cost and participant fee. This cost is inclusive of Partille Cup Pass and 15 meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) starting with dinner on July 1st and ending with lunch on July 6th. A minimum of two and maximum four leaders per team may stay at the school. You can rent mattresses and bedding from us to an additional cost. If you bring your own mattress, it cannot be wider than 75 cm. We urge all participants and leaders to never leave valuables or money unattended at the school.

Category B – Hotel accommodation:


Hotel booked through Partille World Cup. All participants, players and leaders, has to pay the hotel cost and participant fee. The cost is inclusive of Partille Cup Pass and breakfast. Meal cards for lunch and dinner at a nearby school can be purchased at Partille Cup Account.

Category C – Own accommodation:


Teams arranging their own accommodation. All participants, players and leaders, has to pay the participant fee. The fee is inclusive of Partille Cup Pass. A maximum of 30 teams into this category.

Competition form

Partille World Cup is open to all the club teams in the world. School teams from countries outside the Nordic region are also allowed to participate. From countries that, according to the IHF, are not classified as A- or B-nation, National or Regional teams may also participate in the tournament. National Teams and Regional Teams outside the Nordic Countries, however not teams in Europe from IHF’s A and B nations.

The tournament begins with a qualification round. Teams are divided into groups of 6-8 teams, where all teams play against each other. The three best teams in a group of 6-7 teams and the four best teams in larger groups advance to the A-playoff, the remaining teams in the group are playing the B-playoff. The group play is played Tuesday to Thursday. The playoffs takes place on Friday and Saturday and are played according to a cup model, win or lose.

IHF’s rules apply in all relevant areas and SHF’s competition rules. For questions regarding the interpretation of the IHF’s rules, the English text is valid. For detailed regulations, see tournament regulations. All players must be insured, both on and off the field. 

Number of teams in the tournament

In recent years we have not been able to accept all teams that wish to participate. The teams that have registered and paid the registration fee has priority. Registration counts as the date we receive the registration fee.

When does the registration open?

The registration for Partille World Cup 2024 opens on September 11.

Which is the last date to register?

Deadline for making a registration is April 1. Please note that teams who have registered and paid their registration fee first will be given priority when we reach the maximum number of teams in each category. 

Partille Cup Pass

Partille Cup Pass is included for all players, leaders and accompanying families and friends who have booked their accommodation via Partille World Cup and/or paid the participation fee. 

Accompanying families and friends who have booked their own accommodation can purchase Partille Cup Pass, book it through your Partille Cup Account or in the information at Heden Center.

Leaders Card

Each team that has booked accommodation through Partille World Cup receives two Leader Cards, giving entry to the Partille World Cup Leaders Party, a Partille World Cup coach t-shirt. If you have more than two leaders you can purchase extra Leader Cards at Partille Cup Account.

Transfer

Transfer to and from airport, ferry or train station in Gothenburg, to accommodation can be booked to a cost of €20 per person. The transfer is exclusively for teams (NOT for accompanying families and friends) with accommodation through Partille World Cup arriving and departing as a group, minimum 10 persons. Transfer must be booked in advance at Partille Cup Account.

Mattress and beddings

Mattress, pillow, sheets and blanket can be rented during the week to a cost of €47 per person. Mattress and beddings must be booked in advance at Partille Cup Account.

Special food

For persons with special food needs or allergies we are able to arrange this, make your special food booking before May 15. Please note that we don’t serve any dishes that contains nuts (including peanuts, almonds and sesame) or pork.

Extra nights for teams with school accommodation

If a team needs to arrive or depart outside the tournament dates (July 1-6) a maximum two extra nights can be arranged to a cost of €18 per person and extra night. Please observe that no meals are served during the extra nights. All meals has to be arranged by the team and at the team's own expenses.

Only a few schools are open before and after the tournament. The team will be moved to its regular school when the tournament start. If the extra night is after the tournament the team will be moved from its regular school to the specific school for extra nights.

Partille Cup Account

All registered teams have their own team page at Partille Cup Account. Several leaders can connect their Partille Cup ID to the same team page at Partille Cup Account. On your team page you will update your registration, place orders, fill out the list of participants, make payments and see your balance. Please note that each team is responsible for deadlines of when information, orders and similar are to be submitted

Check in online

All teams must check in online at Partille Cup Account before their arrival to the tournament. The online check in can be done by the earliest June 20 and by the latest June 30. Please observe, that you must bring your booking confirmation and possible vouchers that you have printed to the tournament to collect your orders.

Prizes

For teams reaching the finals, each player will receive a medal (max 17), and the teams will win the specially designed “The Golden Hand Trophy”. The two losing teams in the A-playoff semifinal will receive a third-place trophy and bronze medals (max 17) during halftime of the final in their age category. For teams reaching the finals in the B-playoff they will receive medals (max 17) and a trophy. 

Important dates

September 11: The registration opens

April 1: Registration closes

May 1: Last date to pay the accommodation and/or participation fee for those staying at a school, hotel, or own accommodation.

May 15: Last day to order special food.

June 1: Deadline for payment of additional orders such as transfers, mattress, extra nights, meal cards. Also last day for cancel players.

June 30: Last day to check in online.

July 1: Arrival Day, no matches are played.

July 2: The matches begin. Opening Ceremony in the evening.

July 6: Finals and departure day. Last final is finished at 18:00. 

Payments

The registration fee must be paid within ten days of submitting the registration online. Once we receive the payment of your registration fee, we will confirm your registration.

The accommodation cost and/or participation fee must be paid no later than May 1. If the accommodation cost and/or participation fee has not been paid for within five days after its due date Partille World Cup has the right to cancel your registration without any right to a refund of the registration fee. Note that all bank transaction fees must be paid for by the team. You have to pay in the currency Euro. Please observe that we do not accept any personal or company cheques.

Cancellation

If you need to cancel your registration, email [email protected] and note your registration number. The registration fee is nonrefundable.

In case a player or leader must cancel the accommodation cost is only refundable if the cancellation is made at the latest June 1. After June 1 a doctor's notice is required to get the accommodation cost refunded. 

Accommodation booked through Partille World Cup

We reserve us the right during the tournament when needed to move a team from their accommodation to be lodged in another accommodation and the right to dismiss a participant from Partille World Cup accommodation if the participant commits criminal offense or at repeated occasions violates our rules. For teams with booked accommodation through Partille World Cup the team manager as indicated on the participants list is responsible for the team's behavior. 

Insurance

The team manager in charge is obligated to ensure that all participants are insured on the playing field. Each participant is responsible for his or her personal insurance outside the playing field. Participants from countries that have no medical insurance agreement with Sweden must have personal medical insurance. Neither Partille World Cup nor the organizer has collective insurance to cover injuries, illness, theft or damages. 

Cancellation of the tournament and force major

Neither Partille World Cup nor the organizer is responsible for compensation, and they are also not responsible for financial losses or damages that may occur due to events outside the control of Partille World Cup or the organizer, such as war-like events, fire, flood, interruptions in public transport connections, government actions, strike, or other similar circumstances.
