Bayern Munich are here to have fun

The germans played their first matches yesterday!

You usually associated Bayern Munich with football, but after the Partille Cup week, you will definitely associate them with handball as well.

Bayern Munich’s G15-team played their opening match of the Partille Cup on Tuesday. Unfortunately for the Germans, they lost the match against H43 Lund 11-7. Even though the result went the wrong way for the germans, it was still a memorable experience for Luisa Otzelberger, the Bayern Munich goalkeeper.
- I have only seen pictures of Partille Cup on the web, so I am very happy to finally participate. The feeling of playing in front of so many people is something I have dreamt about, she says.

Have you noticed any differences between the handball here and the handball in Germany?
- The Swedish teams defend better than the German teams and are much more aggressive as well. Partille Cup is also a much bigger tournament than anything we have in Germany, so I think the culture is the biggest difference, she says.

Even though it was a tough Tuesday in terms of results for the Bayern Munich G15 team, Luisa has enjoyed the first few days in Gothenburg.
- We arrived Sunday. My first impression of the city has been good and it is very interesting to be here because I have never been to Sweden before.

Do you have any plans for the week?
- We should just focus on having fun and enjoying ourselves whilst in Sweden, Luisa states.

Bayern Munich will play their next match against the Czech Republic side Slavia Prague at Heden Arena 5, at 14:25 today.
