Club Italiano de BM traveled for two days to reach the tournament

The Chilean team had the furthest to travel for Partille Cup.

The Chilean side has traveled a long way to compete at the tournament and has already made friends with a Scottish team.
– I think that's my favorite thing, says Macarena Barrazo Alvarado.

Club Italiano de BM G15 is bringing a lot of energy to their first match despite having traveled for two days, going from Chile via Argentina and France to reach Gothenburg. They win their first match against Särökometernas HK with the scoreline 12-8.
– We trained almost every day for the whole year, this is a big opportunity for us. We train really hard for this, says Luciá Briones, 14 years old.

The girls have worked hard to get to the tournament as well, selling food and bingo cards to fund the trip. Their next game is against Skanderborg HB on Wednesday at 14:25 on Heden. Club Italiano de BM has been present at Partille Cup almost every year since 2011, last year a boys team traveled and this time it’s the girls’ turn. The team is focused on winning but they are also looking forward to making connections through the game.
– I think that’s my favorite thing because you know a lot of people from another countries and other places and that’s so cool. It’s a very good game, says Macarena Barrazo Alvarado, 15 years old.

A Scottish team walks past and they exchange a few supportive sentiments before heading to their game. The two teams met whilst staying in the same school.
– We just started talking to them and now we’re something like friends, says Macarena.
