Green Hosts in action at Partille World Cup: “We do it for our children”

Green Hosts play a key role in waste management across the tournament areas at Partille World Cup. The initiative is part of the event’s sustainability concept Celebrate the Planet, aiming to improve sorting and increase recycling. – We do it for how our children in the future will live, says Avand Ayoub, one of the Green Hosts at Partille World Cup.

At Heden and Kviberg, Green Hosts during the tournament collect and sort waste. For many of them, the role represents their first working experience, providing an introduction to working life while supporting the tournament’s sustainability efforts.

– The most fun part of being here is getting to know and socialize with new people. I have gained a completely new perspective on the environment since I had never worked with sorting and recycling before, says Mustafa Aljaff, 16-year-old Green Host.

Their work is driven by a strong sense of purpose that also goes beyond the tournament itself.

– We do it for the environment, the animals and for how our children in the future will live. We help the earth feel better, and sorting is also very fun, says 17-year-old Avand Ayoub.

The Green Hosts also provide guidance to participants at Partille World Cup on waste management. Do your part by throwing your litter in the bins so that the Green Hosts can sort it correctly.
