”I will remember every moment”

Nepal School Handball has traveled all the way from Nepal to the Partille World Cup, they look back on their time in Sweden with pride and new experiences. – It is important for us to represent our country, says goalkeeper Orovin Moon.

The team started back in 2013 with the goal of raising knowledge about the sport in Nepal.
– It is a fantastic tournament! All the players are incredible, it's on a whole new level for us, but it's very fun and rewarding, says goalkeeper Orovin.
Handball is not as established in Nepal, but the team's coach is actively looking for young people who might be interested in the sport.
– We heard about the sport in school, our coach came there and scouted us. We go to different schools, but we all discovered the sport in the same way," says Orovin.
– It is a very unique sport and it's a new concept in Nepal. I like that it is so dynamic and that so much is happening all the time.
The team has struggled during the tournament and finishes their last match with a loss of 8-30 against Norwegian Reistad IL. But despite their setbacks, they are happy that they came to the Partille World Cup and will remember the tournament for a long time.
– I can't choose a favourite memory, i will remember every single moment here at the Partille Cup. It has been incredibly educational and a great experience, says Orovin.
Winning was not, after all, the biggest reason why the team chose to come all the way to Sweden. They hope that the experience from the Partille World Cup will be beneficial for them in the future.
- It is important for us to represent our country and to create a good future for ourselves. That is why we decided to come here, says Orovin.
