Pechbonnieu from France will participate with six teams

It’s a big interest in participating in Partille World Cup 2025. Hundreds of teams have signed up already. Pechbonnieu from France are one of the clubs that can't wait to go to Gothenburg.

Pechbonnieu will participate with as many as six teams next summer.
– We were lucky to represent France during the opening ceremony in 2019 and it was an unbelievable experience for the girls, says the coach Fabien Roy.

Pechbonnieu is a club located in the suburbs of Toulouse in the southwest of France.
– It’s a small, non-professional and welcoming club. There are only female teams in the club and two of them compete nationally; the U17 team and the senior team.

Why have you chosen to participate in Partille World Cup next year?
– We would love to come every year but it s not always possible! Depends on school holidays for example and of course our organization, as we need to find money in advance for the trip.

You have been here before, in 2019. What is the best thing about the tournament according to you?
– Without any hesitation the opening ceremony. We were lucky to represent France during the opening ceremony and it was an unbelievable experience for the girls. The girls were 12-13 years old in 2019 and for most of them it was their first international tournament. Living in school during one week with some teams from all over the world was unique!

You have registered four teams for Partille World Cup 2025 at the moment. How is the interest for the tournament in the club?
– We're four teams registered at the moment but two more teams will be added! Almost 60 players from G12 to G16 teams are going to be part of the trip. We’re very excited and not only the youngsters!

Which age categories will you compete in and what are your expectations?
– Our goal is to compete in the categories G12, G13, G14, G15 and G16. We know that the competition is very difficult but we just would like our girls to have fun, and do their best as well as meet players from other countries.

How will you prepare for the tournament?
– It will be very exciting all year long. We have this aim at the end of season and that will help coaches to keep the girls focused on increasing their level. No one will give up! says Fabien Roy.
