Record breaking interest when the registration for Partille World Cup opened
When registration for next summer’s Partille World Cup opened, spots filled up at a pace we’ve never seen before. On the very first day, twice as many teams signed up compared to the previous record.

- We are absolutely overwhelmed by the interest. It’s fantastic that so many teams, from both Sweden and internationally, want to take part in the tournament. It shows just how important Partille World Cup is as a meeting place for youths from all over the world, says Fredrik Andersson, General Secretary at Partille World Cup.
Teams from seven countries managed to register within the first 24 hours for the 2026 edition. However, the high demand also brings challenges: the category for local teams (category D) was fully booked within the first hour — something that has never happened before. Teams that didn’t make it in time are now placed on a waiting list.
- Of course, it’s unfortunate for the teams that didn’t get a spot right away, but we’re hoping that as many teams as possible will be able to participate. At the same time, this is clear proof of the tournament’s incredible appeal, says Andersson.
