Sunnydale from Bangladesh is coming back
Sunnydale has been a part of the Partille Cup family since 2017. And they will be back for Partille Cup 2023.
The school from Bangladesh will participate with a boys team and a girls team this summer. They're excited, to say the least.
They will compete in the B11 and the G12 categories. Sunnydale will bring different coaches. Mizanul Islam is one of them.
– We have played in the Partille Cup since 2017 except for the pandemic years. In 2017, we stayed at Ugglums school. This time we’re also interested in staying there. Why we like the Partille Cup is very simple, this is the largest handball tournament and all the crew members are very friendly, says Mizanul Islam.
He has a special relationship to the tournament.
– This will be my fifth time in Gothenburg. I love this city so much. I have got unforgettable moments with my dear friends Fredrik Andersson, Stefan Albrechtson and Ib Poulsen and many more.
What are the players most excited about?
– Actually, our students are excited about our Europe tour. Before your tournament, we participate in Bergen Cup in Norway and after the Partille Cup we will participate in Dronninglund Cup in Denmark and in Handball Days in Lübeck in Germany.
How big is handball in Bangladesh?
– Comparing to your country it’s increasing slowly, but we’re trying our best, says Mizanul Islam.
