Sunnydale loved their time at Partille World Cup

Sunnydale’s B14 team lost every match but smiled anyway and spread a lot of joy and love around Gothenburg.

The team from Bangladesh loved the whole experience in Gothenburg. Despite the lost matches, they were happy every second and gained memories for life. And in fact, Bangladesh is getting bigger as a handball nation.
– I want to come here again. I love everything about Partille World Cup, says the player Sadaqat Riaj Shayaan.

It was quite a trip from Bangladesh but Sunnydale made the most of their trip to Europe. They went to a couple of tournaments but no one was as good as Partille World Cup according to the 14-year-olds.
– It’s my first time here. I love it. I love the experience and I want to come here again. We will see, he says with a hopeful smile.

He says that he like so many things about Partille World Cup and the city of Gothenburg.
– The fields are amazing. I love the concept of the tournament. I love everything about it. And I love the city. It’s amazing, beautiful and green. I love how clean the city is. To see this is amazing and feels great, says the 14-year-old.

They are from Dhaka, the capital of the big country. Handball isn’t that big in Bangladesh.
– No, it’s actually not one of the bigger sports. It’s still a fun sport and the handball is growing rapidly. Almost all the school in Bangladesh have handball teams, says Sadaqat Riaj Shayaan.

He was their top goal scorer during Partille World Cup 2024. He wants to keep improving.
– My dreams in handball are to develop to a good player and see how far I can go. I want to play for the national team. Let’s see how far I can go when I return home to Bangladesh, he says.
One thing is clear. They will never forget their memories from Gothenburg.
