This summer, we are looking forward to a journey filled with learning, building stronger bonds as teammates, and challenging ourselves beyond our limits.

This is part four of our series The Journey. Take part of Assistant Coach, Md Saquib Hossain's story from St. Gregory's High School & College, Bangladesh, below.

Partille World Cup holds a special place in our hearts. As a team from Bangladesh, we have had the opportunity to connect with players from around the world, compete in an inspiring environment, and proudly represent our community. For us, it’s more than just a competition – it’s an experience that brings people together.

This summer, we are looking forward to a journey filled with learning, building stronger bonds as teammates, and challenging ourselves beyond our limits. Our goal is not only to perform well but also to make the most of every moment, both on and off the field.

To prepare, we have been training regularly, reviewing past matches, and fine-tuning our strategy and communication. We are focusing on both physical and mental readiness, knowing that good preparation involves both aspects. We are truly grateful for the support we have received from our community and school, which has helped cover the costs of travel and accommodation. Every contribution has made a real difference.

The journey from Bangladesh is quite long and will likely involve a combination of flights and local transport. Still, we are genuinely excited – for us, the adventure starts even before we arrive. We believe that this year’s tournament will be more exciting than ever, with new teams joining and familiar rivals returning. The competition will be tough, but the real highlight for us is the chance to learn from others, build friendships, and share a passion that unites us all.

We are incredibly proud to represent our school and Bangladesh, and we are ready to give it our all. Thank you for giving us the chance to share our story – we can’t wait for what’s ahead!
