Veggie Vibes – Cooking contest ahead of Partille World Cup

An initiative for flavour, sustainability, and the climate.

Veggie Vibes is part of our Celebrate the Planet campaign, an initiative that highlights the importance of reducing our climate footprint, lowering CO2E from the food we serve, and cutting food waste.
- We believe food is one of the most powerful tools we have to reduce our impact on the climate. Every meal is a chance to make a difference, says Tommy Wiking, Head of Food and Beverage at Partille World Cup.

As part of Veggie Vibes, ten chefs each created a plant-based dish. Both young people and adults got to vote, and the jury included one of Sweden’s most experienced chefs, Mats Nordström.
- There were many great dishes, and it was very hard to choose a favourite, he says.

The entries included fried rice à la Oscar, tikka masala, and root vegetable lasagne. The winner was chef Mandeep Singh, who impressed with his lentil stew with root vegetables. The dish will now be served as one of the meals during Partille World Cup, in the schools where players and team leaders stay.
- The dish is both gluten- and lactose-free and very easy to prepare, which helps both the chefs and those with allergies, says Mandeep.

Veggie Vibes is an initiative we proudly present, celebrating food that tastes good, does good, and is good for the planet.
