More participants and their accompanying adults will be able to travel by train to Partille World Cup 2026. Train operator Vy is a new Official Partner of Partille World Cup.
– This will give many teams the opportunity to choose a smart way to travel to Gothenburg. At the same time, it will be a more enjoyable experience to meet other teams already at departure, says Fredrik Andersson, Secretary General of Partille World Cup.
Vy will provide two Partille World Cup trains: one on the Gothenburg–Oslo route and one on the Malmö–Gothenburg route. Vy is a major train operator in both Norway and Sweden.
– Our social mission is to transport people in an environmentally friendly way. That is why we are proud to contribute to making it easy, safe, and sustainable for excited players, coaches, families, and supporters to travel to this year’s tournament, says Mads Christian Gribbestad, Head of Marketing at Vy.
– Over the past year, we have strengthened our presence along Sweden’s west coast. That is why it is natural for us to become a partner of Partille World Cup. We want to support the joy of sports for children and young people and help create lifelong memories already on the journey to the tournament.
Partille World Cup continuously works to reduce the tournament’s climate impact through the “Celebrate the Planet” concept. This includes methods to reduce food waste, minimize and sort waste, and make more climate-friendly choices when planning menus for participants.
– This partner initiative from Vy aligns well with how we want to develop the tournament together with stakeholders who make a difference. It gives our participants the opportunity to make better choices for the climate, says Fredrik Andersson.
