Alexander won Partille World Cup for the second consecutive year

HEI Håndbold are the champions in the B16 category. The winning team's goalkeeper, Alexander Krusenstjerna-Hafströ, has now won the tournament two years in a row. “It’s an incredible feeling,” says the goalkeeper.
At Fristad Arena 2, there was massive support from the crowd as Danish HEI Håndbold faced German Team Niedersachsen in the B16 category final. The Danish supporters came prepared with a megaphone and trumpet, while the Germans brought a lot of enthusiasm for singing.
The first half belonged to HEI Håndbold. After an opening where the teams exchanged goals, the Danes managed to pull ahead and create an advantage for themselves. They turned a 3-2 lead into 8-4, which was also the halftime score.
The second half continued in the same manner, much to the delight of the loud Danish supporters. The Danes extended their lead even further. The goals kept coming, and Niedersachsen didn’t have much to counter with. The final whistle blew, and the result was set at 17-10. HEI Håndbold are the champions in the B16 category.
- It’s an incredible feeling. I’m proud of both my own and especially the team’s performance, says Alexander Krusenstjerna-Hafströ, who was named MVP of the final.
This is the second year in a row that Alexander has won the Partille World Cup.
- It feels much better this year. Last year I won with the team that is one year older, so it feels fantastic to win with my own team and friends, says the final’s MVP.
The Danes are heading back to Denmark in the evening, but that won’t stop them from celebrating.
- We’re looking forward to a long night of celebration and joy on the boat home, says Alexander.
