French Turnaround Secures Gold in B13 Final
Sweden's IFK Hammarö faced off against France's Dunkerque HB Grand Littoral in the B13 final, where the match began at a high pace and turned into a goal-filled and tough battle. – We fought through this as a team and won together, says MVP Lucas Le Louarn.
The final began with an offensive display from both teams, with goals coming in quickly from the start. IFK Hammarö and Dunkerque HB Grand Littoral were closely matched in the early stages of the match, where neither team managed to create a clear advantage.
After the tight start, Dunkerque HB Grand Littoral gradually found more stability in their play. The French team improved their shooting accuracy and worked their way into the lead after initially trailing. IFK Hammarö continued to fight and stayed in the match through quick transitions.
In the second half, the pace increased and the battle became more physical, with both teams engaging in several intense duels. Dunkerque, however, maintained their advantage and managed to fend off a strong attempt from IFK Hammarö to make a comeback.
The final score was recorded at 20-16, and thus Dunkerque HB Grand Littoral claimed the gold in the B13 category.
After the match, Lucas Le Louarn was named MVP. He summarized the victory by saying:
– There are a lot of emotions. It was a tough match where we were behind for a while, but we found our way to victory. We fought through this as a team and won together.
