IF Stjernen takes the win in the all Danish B13 final

IF Stjernen takes home the win after an even match against FIF Håndbold.

After losing to FIF Håndbold last year, IF Stjernen faced them again. This time in the B13 Final. - I think we won because we kept our heads cool and didn't lose our temper, says the player of the match, Emil Lørup from IF Stjernen.

In B13 there was a final between the teams IF Stjernen and FIF Håndbold, both from Denmark. With a good pressure in the stands, it was clear that the visiting crowd from IF Stjernen in blue shirts kept the mood up at the match. IF Stjernen started the match strongly with a four-goal lead. After eight minutes, FIF Håndbold scored their first goal of the match. Before halftime, IF Stjernen got a penalty and extended their lead to 6-2.

FIF Håndbold started the second half strongly, but the IF Stjernen goalkeeper was responsible for several high-quality saves. After three minutes into the second half, FIF reduced Håndbold to 6-3. The second half was even and after it was scoreless for seven minutes both teams scored two goals each in 3 minutes. The atmosphere in the stands was tense and the crowd's cheers at goals and saves could be heard all over the arena. Almost everyone in the stands stood up and in the last minute IK Stjernen extended its lead to 8-6. When the final whistle went, the whole team ran onto the field to celebrate with each other and the crowd. With the naked eye, you could see the joy over the gold. The guys gathered in a ring and celebrated first with each other but then also with the audience. Before the award ceremony, they made sure to thank their opponents.

Player of the match Emil Lørup says that last year they lost against FIF and that it feels good that they came back and won this year.
– I think we won because we kept our heads cool and didn't lose our temper, he explains.

He continues:
– What I will remember from this year is this match and when we went to Liseberg.
