IFK Ystad scored the winner in the last second

IFK Ystad won over BK Ydun with 10-9 in the B12 final at Fristad Arena 1.

The B12 final between Swedish IFK Ystad and Danish BK Ydun was a real thriller. IFK Ystad decided the match on a penalty in the last second.
– We are the best in the world, says Ceilon Tönnesen.

Ceilon Tönnesen and his twin brother Connor, who are both sons of the former great Norwegian player Stian Tönnesen with both international caps and ten years in the German Bundesliga on his track record, were key players in the team that became champions in the P12 category in Partille World Cup 2024. After first half the match was tied. The score was then 4-4. The teams were also followed in the second half. With five minutes left in the match, IFK Ystad led by two goals. BK Ydun came back and equalized but in the last second of the match IFK Ystad was awarded a penalty. Then Connor Tönnesen stepped forward and decided the entire tournament. Brother Ceilon was named player of the match after the 10-9 victory.
– It feels good to be named MVP even though I think my brother deserved it more. We've been working for this all year. To win the final in the very end is absolutely fantastic, says Ceilon Tönnesen humbly.

Partille World Cup means a lot to IFK Ystad. Therefore, the title in the B12 category was extra special for Swedish team.
– It's completely insane. Partille World Cup is the world's best tournament. We are the best in the world, says one of the foreground figures of the final.
The twelve-year-old boys will enjoy the triumph all weekend and for a long time to come.
– We are going out to eat somewhere tonight. Now we will celebrate the victory very much. We will sing and dance, says Ceilon Tönnesen.
