IFK Ystad won gold in the Boys 14 category
IFK Ystad and Önnereds HK 1 met in an all-Swedish Boys 14 final, with IFK Ystad coming out on top. They secured a 16–12 victory. – It feels absolutely fantastic. I'm so happy, says MVP Melker Hansson.
The final got off to a fast start, with both teams showing strong defensive play. IFK Ystad gained a slight early advantage, although they struggled to make the most of their chances in attack. Önnereds HK 1 stayed in the game thanks to a disciplined defence.
In the second half, IFK Ystad continued to control the match. Their defence remained solid, while their attack became more effective. As a result, the gap grew and Önnereds HK 1 found it difficult to fight back.
When the final whistle blew, the scoreboard showed 16–12 and IFK Ystad could celebrate the Boys 14 title.
After the final, Melker Hansson was named MVP. He summed up the victory:
– It feels absolutely fantastic. I'm so happy. It's been an incredible week and we've had so much fun together. We have a great team spirit. We started the match with a strong defence but struggled to get our attack going. In the end, we kept defending well and then everything started to click.
