Skanderborg Concludes Strong and Takes Gold in G16
Danish Skanderborg HB 1 and Swedish Önnereds HK 1 faced off in the G16 final, where Skanderborg took control and won with a score of 20-8. – It feels very good, but also sad since this was our last match together, says MVP Maya Mogensen.
The final began at a fast pace, with Skanderborg HB 1 quickly taking control of the game. The Danish team quickly reaped the rewards in their offensive play, while their defense made it difficult for Önnereds HK 1 to find a way to score.
During the first half, Skanderborg continued to extend their lead through effective transition play and high accuracy. Önnereds HK struggled to close the gap but found it difficult to get through the Danish defense.
In the second half, Skanderborg maintained their grip on the match and never let Önnered come any closer. The team continued to create goal-scoring opportunities while maintaining a high tempo until the final whistle. The match ended 20-8, with Skanderborg HB 1 securing the gold in the G16 category.
After the final, Maya Mogensen was named MVP. She summarized the victory as follows:
