Slavia Prague makes their debut in Partille Cup
The Czechs made their entrance in front of a crowded Heden.
Slavia Prague are here to represent the Czech Republic and themselves. On Tuesday they played their first matches of the tournament!
It was a tough start to the tournament for Slavia Prague's G18 team, who suffered defeat against a good Skövde HF side in their first match.
- We did not play well. It was pretty slow and we did not score many goals, so we need to improve, says Anežka Havlinová, a Slavia Prag player, after the game.
In the following game, Slavia Prague bounced back with a 12-6 win against Backa HF. An important win that got their campaign underway.
This is the first time Slavia Prague is participating in Partille Cup. They have brought five teams, competing in five different categories. So far, so good, if you ask Anežka.
- The handball culture here is much larger than what we have in Prague. Gothenburg is a fantastic place for all the young handball players like me. It is just a bit rainy, she says and laughs.
Slavia Prague's next game is against AGF Aarhus at Heden 8, at 13:15 today.
