This is Heden!
The beating heart of Partille Cup is Heden.
With its 26 handball courts (Kviberg has 21) there are constantly matches being played, teams warming up and a steady flow of spectators at Heden.
– We get all kinds of questions, the most common one is probably spectators asking about how to find the right court, says Jonas at the information desk.
Heden is situated in the town centre, a handball throw from Gothenburg's main street Kungsportsavenyn. Also, it is really close to Scandinavium Arena where the opening ceremony is held. It’s an area constantly full of people, players and coaches watching other teams play and meet and chat with newfound friends from other teams and countries.
It is a lively area with people passing through and for the rest of the year it is a centre for football. For Partille Cup the football pitches are converted into handball courts, making it possible to play 26 matches at the same time.
If you have any questions our helpful staff at the information desk, located in the middle of the area, will help you.
Heden also features our Partille Cup partners who arrange fun events and competitions. Be sure to check them out!
For leaders, there is a Leader’s Lounge where coaches and staff from all over the world can meet up and exchange ideas and tactics. From here you have an overview of all the courts.
There are stands for spectators around the courts 1 through 5 but there is of course room to watch all the games at all the courts! The Heden Arena (court 1) is our main court with room for 8000 spectators.
Apart from watching exciting handball games, visitors and players are able to get ice cream, soft drinks and food in the food court, or check out the official Partille Cup souvenirs and gear in the souvenir shop.
