This Year's Environmental Initiative - Green Hosts

As part of this year's initiative, Celebrate the Planet, Partille World Cup brought in Green Hosts to sort waste.

Celebrate the Planet, Partille World Cup’s new initiative for this year, is a commitment to the environment. As part of the initiative, they introduced Green Hosts who collected and sorted waste from arenas, fields, and bins.

When the world is in a climate crisis, it’s important for everyone to do their part. This year, Partille World Cup launched the new initiative Celebrate the Planet, aiming to help reduce global CO2 emissions. One part of the tournament's contribution to the environment was introducing Green Hosts.

Misplaced waste causes significant harm to nature. This year, Partille World Cup’s Green Hosts helped by picking up misplaced waste, collecting rubbish from bins, and then sorting everything into the correct containers. This allows the sorted material to be recycled, turned into new products, and reduces the need to extract new raw materials. The less energy needed to produce new materials, the less impact we get on the environment.
– It feels good to do this. Even if it’s a small effort, you make a difference for the world, especially now when it’s so important to focus on the climate and recycling, said one of this year’s Green Hosts at Partille World Cup, Emil Wass.

Together, we can create a world with less CO2 emissions, more greenery, and a healthier climate.
