Tight Battle for the Gold in G10

Two Danish teams competed for the title in the G10 class as Frederikshavn F.I 1 faced off against TIK Håndbold in the final. After a close and fluctuating match, with the decisive moments occurring in the second half, MVP Lily Mortensen from TIK Håndbold described the victory as a great battle and an experience to take home.

The final in the G10 category turned out to be a closely contested match where Frederikshavn F.I 1 got the best start. The team quickly took the initiative with effective attacking play and a solid defense. However, TIK Håndbold responded swiftly, working their way back into the game, which leveled the playing field during the first half.

After Frederikshavn's strong start, TIK Håndbold grew into the final and found a better rhythm in both defense and attack. The teams remained on equal footing in terms of scoring, with neither team able to establish a significant advantage during the half. At halftime, the score was 4-4.

In the second half, it was TIK Håndbold that took control of the match. The team increased the tempo and became more accurate in their shots, while also tightening their defense. Frederikshavn F.I 1 struggled to keep up as TIK Håndbold began to pull away.

TIK Håndbold continued to control the game in the final stages and fended off Frederikshavn F.I 1. The final ended 11–9 in favor of TIK Håndbold, who thus secured the gold in the G10 category.

The MVP in the G10 category was Lily Mortensen, who summarized the victory after the match:
– It feels great. Really great. It feels fantastic to win such a big tournament. We will take the entire experience from the week home with us.
