A record number of Danish teams in Partille World Cup this year
Never before in the tournament's history have we had so many registered teams from Denmark.
This summer there will be a new record regarding Danish teams in Partille World Cup. It will land on just under 200 teams.
– It is absolutely wonderful to set a new record. We try to set records every year, says Jørgen Larsen, who is Partille World Cup's ambassador in Denmark together with Ib Poulsen.
Jørgen Larsen has an explanation for the large number of registered Danish teams for Partille World Cup 2024.
– I think there are several factors that have led to a record number of Danish teams in World of Handball this summer. The most important factor is that week 27 this year is the first week of the school's summer holidays. Parents can then send their children off to Partille World Cup with peace of mind while they themselves work this week, to later go on a family holiday. Another factor is that Ib Poulsen has done a fantastic job as an ambassador to bring in more Danish teams. The last factor is probably closer to a hope that the handball people have woken up again after the corona pandemic and that the longing for community has become greater. Yes, at least that is my expectation, says the ambassador.
