Australia on site for the first time in 20 years
It was 20 years since last time, but now Australia is back at Partille World Cup. The G15 team from Brisbane HC looks forward to finally playing on a court suited for handball.

It was a victory-hungry team that took to the court at Fristad Arena. Brisbane HC has had a tough start with four losses behind them, but after an intense match, the team was able to declare themselves the winners of the match that ended 14-9 against This Håndbold.
– We have never competed together as a country before, this is the first time we win together in such a big competition. This is what we will remember when we look back at Partille World Cup, says Evie Grohn.
At home in Australia, the sport is significantly smaller than in Sweden. The team doesn't even have their own handball-court to play on yet, but that doesn't stop them.
– So far, we have only played on a basketball court. Handball is not the biggest sport here yet, but it is something fun you can do with your friends on a Friday night," says goalkeeper Astrid Selwa.
Abbie Higgins talks about how more and more people are discovering the sport and that it is growing every year.
– We all saw ads on social media and signed up to try the sport. More and more people have started playing, and handball has become bigger over the past year. But it is still a very small sport that not many people know about.
Annika Klavsen believes that the experience at Partille World Cup is great for team spirit.
– You get so close to each other when you play and compete together here. It’s a very special feeling that doesn’t exist anywhere else.
