Jonathan Edvardsson back on Partille World Cup
From the court to the stands – Jonathan Edvardsson looks back on Partille World Cup, now with new dreams of the tournament.

On Wednesday, Jonathan Edvardsson, now playing for German club TSV Hannover-Burgdorf, visited Heden to follow Partille World Cup – this time from the sidelines. He is back in Gothenburg on holiday and took the opportunity to enjoy the atmosphere of the tournament where he once played.
– I’m a bit sad that I’m too old to play now, he says with a smile.
Edvardsson has been playing handball since early childhood and looks back on Partille World Cup with great fondness. The tournament was an important part of his upbringing, and handball has played a major role in his life – not just as a sport, but as a path to personal growth.
– Handball has been like a parent to me, with coaches and mentors supporting me, the chance to travel with the team has helped me grow as a person, he says.
Even though he now plays at a professional level, the connection to Partille World Cup remains strong. In the future, he hopes to return – but in a different role.
– I dream about one day being a coach for a team here. It would be special to come back to the tournament where it all started for me, he says.
Partille World Cup continues to be a place where old memories come alive – and new dreams take shape.
