Meet one of the tournament's biggest foreign teams - Knattspyrnufélagið Fram

Icelandic Knattspyrnufélagið Fram has traveled to the Partille World Cup with twelve teams of different age groups.

Knattspyrnufélagið Fram, or just Fram, is the foreign handball club with the most teams in this year's handball tournament. A total of twelve different teams from the Icelandic capital club have traveled to Gothenburg to participate in the Partille World Cup.
– It is absolutely fantastic that we can be so many teams from Fram. We visit each other's matches and give each other the best support we can, regardless of which of our teams you visit, says team captain Kristofer Tomas Gislason.

The Icelandic weather is one of the reasons why many children's around Iceland seek handball, where handball offers indoor games when the weather does not allow outdoor games.
– The interest in handball in Iceland is great, it may be because the weather not allowing us – but we do what it takes to play this fantastic sport and to be able to represent our's home country is huge, says the team captain.

The journey to Gothenburg consisted of several planes from the Icelandic capital with stops in Sweden and Denmark – and the preparations have been many.
– We had several flights that were filled with the team's colors, it was a magical feeling. We have been preparing for a long time and many of us are looking forward to a fantastic week at the Partille World Cup, says team captain Kristofer Tomas Gislason.

Knattspyrnufélagið Fram P16-team's next match is against Lödde Vikings HK today, at 09.45 at Kviberg 2.
