Oure's debut in Partille World Cup
Oure starts their first Partille World Cup with a victory.
Partille World Cup has been played since 1970, but a team participating for the first time this year is Oure. They have travelled from Denmark to compete in the U18 category.
On Tuesday morning, Oure G18 played their first match against HMC Raamsdonksveer from the Netherlands. The match ended 17-8 in Oure's favour. One of the goal scorers, Helena Smerdel, mentioned that it was her first time playing on grass.
"This is my first time playing on grass so it's interesting," Helena said. "The entire Partille World Cup is exciting; there are many good teams, so it's great to play and watch."
She continued: "I'm most looking forward to getting to play. That's why we're here; we love to play."
They played their first match at Heden, which was filled with handball during the tournament's first day.
