Skanderborg HB Aiming to be the best club again this year

The Danes were awarded as the best club at Partille World Cup 2023

Last year, Danish Skanderborg HB was the most successful team at the Partille World Cup. This year, they aim to perform even better.
- Our clear ambition is to win gold, says Jacob Tejlmand, coach of Skanderborg HB's G16 team.

After Partille World Cup 2023, Skanderborg HB was awarded the best club of the tournament, having won two gold medals in the A finals.
- We were very pleased to receive that recognition. Skanderborg is a very ambitious club, and we train hard to perform well in tournaments like these. The award is proof that we have succeeded, says Jacob Tejlmand.

However, for Jacob and his G16 team, it wasn't enough last year. This year, they aim to take home the victory.
- Last year, we lost in the semifinals, and the year before we lost in the final. Now we want to take revenge, and our clear ambition is to win gold, he says.

This will be Jacob's tenth time at Partille World Cup, where he has represented Skanderborg both as a player and as a coach.
- I never won Partille World Cup myself, but as a coach, I have won the tournament twice, he says.
- It's great to return here again, and I'm glad I've had the opportunity to come here ten times.

For Skanderborg HB, Partille World Cup is a strong tradition, and for the players, the tournament is one of the year's biggest highlights.
- The players talk about the tournament all year round. To come here and see so many new cultures and people is amazing, says Jacob.

After two matches, Skanderborg HB's G16 team has won both of their games. Their next match is today against Täby Handboll at 16:45 at Härlanda Park 11.
