South African Team “Classic Handball” - Enthusiastic to Partille World Cup

Classic Handball steps onto the international stage in Gothenburg, proud to represent South Africa.

On Wednesday at Härlanda Park, Classic Handball from South Africa faced off against a Danish team in one of the many international matches taking place at this year’s Partille World Cup.

For Paul Hauser, one of the players on the South African team, the experience of participating in the tournament is something special.
- I'm very happy that my team and I could come here and I hope we will play well during the week, says Hauser.

The matches have been fast-paced and competitive, and the South African team is optimistic about their chances going forward. But for Hauser, it’s not just about winning.
- The matches have been very exciting and we really look forward to hopefully winning some games, but also to building connections with teams from other countries, he says.

Handball is still a developing sport in South Africa, with limited exposure compared to more dominant sports. However, Hauser, who comes from the German School, has found a strong connection to the sport.
- I really enjoy handball – the speed, the games, and the friendships you can make through experiences like the Partille World Cup, he says.

Partille World Cup continues to be a global meeting point for young athletes, offering not only competition but also opportunities for cultural exchange and friendship across borders.
