The Netherlands are being reinforced by Staffan Olsson during the EOC in Gothenburg
Staffan Olsson supports the Netherlands U19 team following a coaching absence at the European Open Championship in Gothenburg. – It's a group of fairly inexperienced guys who are really developing from game to game, says Staffan Olsson.

After a successful playing career in Sweden, Germany, and Spain — where he won both World and European Championship gold with Sweden — as well as coaching stints in France and the Netherlands, he is a well-known voice in the handball world. But when it comes to youth, titles aren't what matter most.
– The most important thing is something simple, to actually have fun, no matter what level you're at. It's really about enjoying yourself, because I think that’s what helps you keep training and stay involved for longer.
For Olsson, handball is about more than medals and results. It's not just about winning. Especially not at a young age.
– Handball is amazing in that way. You learn to respect others, both teammates and opponents.
