Green Hosts at Partille World Cup 2024
This year's climate initiative includes our Green Hosts managing waste disposal.
Partille World Cup 2024 has named this year's climate initiative "Celebrate the Planet." To achieve the global goals, we all have a responsibility to contribute. This year, the tournament focuses on reducing food waste and working with Green Hosts as two examples.
The Food Waste Project contributes to schools striving to minimize food disposal throughout the week, integral to this year's "Celebrate the Planet" concept. Additionally, Green Hosts are working to collect and sort all trash found across the tournament's areas.
A large team of Green Hosts is working at Partille World Cup 2024. Together, they gather trash from the ground and bins, handing it over to the next team of Green Hosts who sort everything into the appropriate places.
Emil Wass is one of this year's Green Hosts, actively involved in managing waste sorting. Emil is positive with the new concept and believes in the importance of our environmental focus.
"I think it's great that Partille Cup has chosen to introduce Green Hosts this year; it's a fantastic initiative. I hope they can set a positive example for other sport events to take steps towards becoming more environmentally friendly," he says.
This year's initiative is a concerted effort to achieve the global goals. Join us by disposing your waste in the bins so that our Green Hosts can efficiently sort it afterwards!
